功夫茶博物館並非原先的行程安排,只是行過路過,上過厠所並順道參觀。有別於開埠文化陳列館,「功夫茶」館內全是「茶」的文化、由雅緻的茶具,精絕的瀹飲法、茶的種類,以至茶的歷史和源流均圖文並茂,詳細論述。

「茶既為飲,愛茶人便開始了煮水時對火候的研究」,出現了「羽扇鋼筷」的烹水器,以及沖功夫茶的「茶盆傢伙」的四寶,甚至乎茶洗茶盤都有說明。一直看下去,就是逸公壼、孟臣罐等泡茶器,以及比茶盤小的茶墊,都是曾看過別人使用,但不知所以然之物。

透過館內壁畫,可知飲一口功夫茶並不容易,分別為治器、起火候湯、納茶、沖茶、刮沫、淋罐、燙杯、洒茶、敬茶的九道工序,並同時展現茶葉的種類,分為紅、綠、黃、白、黑、青六款六色,深淺各異。
