橘子洲景區共有多個歷史建築，但預留的短短半天時間，又怎能一一遊覽。對於朱熹與張木式往來於岳麓書院與城南書院講學過江的朱張渡、飽經風霜的外國領事館或洋行別墅，以至天主教神職人員寓所等，全都只能遠觀而未有近看了。
離開泌春園，未有購物，兩手空空折返小火車站，不再隨車而行，乘觀光火車直接返回橘子洲地鐵站，準備離開。然而由於人流控制，前往地鐵站需繞道游客中心一端，步程需多花數分鐘。
今早雖說遊客不少，但此刻的情況更甚，前來的訪客更可以「人山人海」來形容，不單人工售票窗大排長龍，甚至乎已接連不斷開出的小火車，也出現數百名等候乘車的遊客，人龍隊尾已排至附有上蓋的等候區外。
