啟程前已有在吉隆坡購買運動鞋的計劃，離開亞羅街夜市，徒步折返民宿，途經Plaza Low Yat 對面的Kasut Terpakai鞋店(56 Jalan Bulan)，隨即被一雙雙超平價的運動鞋吸引目光，隨即進店。
運動鞋價錢不菲，一直以來都有到出口店、深圳鞋店選購平價鞋。同樣地，Kasut Terpakai鞋店性質，有如香港運動品牌公司一年一度在貨倉平價推售過氣鞋款一樣，林林種種品牌或非品牌運動鞋擺滿四周，任由顧客自行選擇。
Nike、Adidas和Puma等熟悉品牌的運動鞋，以原價一至兩折出售，看來十分超值。當然，出售的鞋子大多是「倉底貨」(相信並非冒牌貨)，雖不是二手，但亦有歲月的痕迹，故鞋身較新淨售價較高。看中了一雙NB的9060(RM180)，但沒有適合的尺寸，最後選購了狀況良好的NB 740 (RM 160)及NB 1906 (RM 160，兩對RM 300)。
